A two days event holding in Dankawalie Village, Falaba District, with the focus on adolescent girls who are really vulnerable and have no voice to speak up about issues affecting them and to spark up self-voice solutions from their consultation.

The purpose of the proposed consultative meeting with the adolescent girls is to do community-based research and identify local community solutions in dealing with issues affecting girls including adolescent. With the vision of reaching adolescent girls in the said community, Mercy Path dream of sparking and sustaining local and nationwide centred movement with and for girls in solving their individual and community adolescent centred problems. Mercy Path will also do individual stakeholders consultations to identify community solutions in addressing issues affecting girls.

The meeting is also aimed at doing groundbreaking research and identifying possible solutions both local and national level in eradicating factors limiting girls including adolescent from reaching their goals and potentials. We shall also investigate the hidden factors limiting vulnerable girls and adolescent from realizing their potentials in both local, national and international development.

Quiz competition for school going children

A quiz and debate championship at the Falaba District aim to raise the English language standards, motivate pupils to become public speakers and to provide scholarship, both finance and learning materials to support education.

With the motive and focus of promoting the fallen standards of education in both Koinadugu and Falaba District, especially for girl child which are as a result of child labour, child abuse, child marriage, teenage pregnancy, early school dropouts, poor teaching facilities, poor infrastructures, poverty and many more, Mercy Path will be giving out learning & teaching materials and one year scholarship to the three best winners of the competitions including three schools, five participants and a teacher coordinator each.

The scholarship awards are to encourage and help the three best winners facing financial difficulties with school materials and fees to stay in school and complete their education.
